Our Icarus replacement remotes for Boniface Champion and VLA recovery trucks uses a standard Lodar 92204 radio remote control system to replace the hard wired Icarus mini receiver inside the main control board.
Icarus are no longer available so Boniface can supply a replacement Lodar kit but they have a bespoke, customised product and you must go back to Boniface for all Lodar spares because off the shelf Lodar’s are incompatible.
This kit allows you to use any Lodar distributor for replacement parts, and pair your existing transmitters to the receiver.
We have developed two plug and play kits to be installed onto the following ( Please check the circuit boards on Champion beds on vehicles over 7.5t to order the correct one. Boniface do not always use the correct circuit board on a vehicle, see pictures):
- Champion Bed – Circuit board “Boniface Champion“
- VLA Bed ( this has customised outputs on the receiver) – Circuit board “VLA PCB“
This kit is ideal for retrofit when you wish to use Lodar to control your bed, quickly and easily without the need to work out the wiring.
The Boniface control box keeps it’s waterproof rating because of the components we install on the kit.
We have made our kit easy to install with just 1 wire to connect to the control box.
Mounting is with 4 mounting holes using the supplied stainless steel A2 grade fasteners, and sealing o-rings.
