** Oil is contained within the sheath only when one end has a 7.8 mm wide cable tie holding it on the hose ferrule, and the other end is open, but still covering the ferrule. We recommend that you put at least 125 mm extra of sheathing per metre of hose and bunch it up. Ideally, it should be cut with a hot knife or a slitting disc on a 4 1/2 inch grinder to seal the ends from fraying.
